Yijing Fengshui
You might have heard many people saying that it is bad Fengshui to store things under your bed, but is it so?
Many of us cannot bear to give up this area for storage because it can help to reduce clutter in the house.
So is it really bad Fengshui to put things under your bed? The answer is “It depends.”
If you intend to leverage this space to store your stuff, it should not be just a bunch of scattered object tossed under the bed. Neat storage may reduce some of the negative Fengshui effects that storing items under your bed has, hence, it is good to use a purpose-built storage bed.
This type can hide the clutter and make your bedroom neater and more organised.
There are three types of items that you should avoid storing under the bed.
First is sharp and pointed objects like toy knives, guns, etc. They create masculine energy that makes it hard to fall asleep or even have nightmares.
Next are items that bring back bad memories, like an old memorabilia, ex-girlfriend’s love letter, death certificates, etc. Keeping these items makes you trapped in the past and makes it hard to move forward in life, affecting your emotional health. This could play out by preventing you from promotions at work or meeting new friends.
Last but not least, is storing books under your bed can keep your brain in overdrive. Books are considered the voices of other people, so quiet down the noise in your bedroom and move them out.
A general rule of thumb is to consider storing items that are supposed to be on a bed, such as extra blankets or bed linens. They are less likely to interrupt sleep.
